What good is that info?
“Think more rationally” is something a more privileged person would say to anyone struggling with anxiety or any other mental disorder!I completely understand.

So Why Doesn't The Anxious Brain Act Rationally?
First of all, like I said, I understand what you’re going through.

Anyone who’s in an anxious state is going to have a messy map in their head.
The forest is your journey through life.
What you need first and foremost is to make sure the ink is clear, waterproof, and smearproof.
There’s only one way to do that.
You need to ask yourself questions about yourself, and you need to answer them...
I hope that wasn’t an underwhelming solution.
But it’s more profound than you think.
Think about it.
This is what psychiatrists’ offices are all about.
If you can ask yourself questions about how you feel, why you feel them, and who you are as a person...
And you answer these things in a lot of depth, with complete honesty...
This brings the certainty you need in your path through life.
Imagine next time you go to a party, you know exactly what to do, when to do it, who to talk to, and how to react to every single thing everyone says to you.
That certainty is going to level out your anxiety quite a lot.
Once you gain true certainty about yourself and who you are, you attain a level of peace inside yourself.
Truly confident people you see have this sense of certainty and peace within themselves.
It’s not that they’re escaping from themselves.
It’s the fact that they’re simply comfortable with themselves.
Warts and all.
Now, this sounds easy…
Just ask yourself a bunch of questions about yourself and you’re done, right?
But it’s not.
You need to ask the right questions.
If you don’t have the right questions, you’ll just be wasting unnecessary time, unsure if you’re ever going to reach the heart of your problem.
